Sometimes the capsulorhexis opening in the ant capsule gets fibrosed after Phacosurgery. If the shrinkage is severe, it may need additional surgery.

Biosynthetic Corneas

Research is on, to produce artificial corneas. Till date, corneal blindness can only be treated by corneal transplantation using human corneas from cadavers. This has its own problems of availability and rejection.
Biosynthetic Corneas if and when available , can be a real boon to such patients.
